Long Weekend Vibes.

It is Friday and we are heading into a long weekend! But before we do, let’s pause and take a second to say a special thank you to all the Chartwell Educators. Day in and day out they work hard to create an environment that allows all children to explore, play, learn, and have fun! That’s what it is all about! 🙂

Now let’s dive into the happening’s of the house this week…

When you look through the next few photos, I want you to focus on your senses – smell, taste, touch, sight and hearing. The outside world shapes children’s development through experiences they have which will include these five senses. Although children will naturally learn about their senses, engaging with their senses in a structured way can help children with their communication, cognition and understanding as well as gain a deeper appreciation of the world around them.

Stopping to smell the roses, just makes sense!

And what better way to stimulate our senses than sensory play! Sensory play promotes inclusive, open-ended play that cultivates vital skills, promotes self-regulation, sparks exploration, enhances problem-solving skills and heightens creativity.

I have a sense we are coming to the end. I can see the weekend ahead, I can feel the weekend vibes, I can hear the music, I can taste that summer is around the corner, it’s like we can touch it!

Have a wonderful long weekend!
